On October 5th, 2021 Hawkmoon Resources Corp. (HM-CSE) reported initial assay results from its 5,031 m summer drill program at the Wilson project in the Abitibi. Salient results are up to 58.8 g/t Au in DDH HMW 21-01 and 38 g/t Au in DDH HMW 21-09. The 5 disclosed drill holes assayed an average grade x thickness metric of 24.7 g/t Au x m. The results represent down-hole lengths and not necessarily true widths. Diamond drilling was completed around the Toussaint and Midrim showings and points in between. DDH HMW 21-01, 21-02, 21-05 and 21-06 are drilled on the western side of the Toussaint and DDH HMW 21-09 from the eastern side. All the diamond drill holes are said to have intercepted Toussaint mineralization. This mineralization is generally described as a beige to pale grey coloured volcanic tuff which has been foliated, sheared and strongly altered. Alteration is dominated by silica, sericite and calcite with some ankerite and chlorite alteration to a lesser degree. Mineralization often displays a striped appearance due to abundant parallel laminations of quartz veins as well as veinlets of pyrite, chalcopyrite and locally as visible gold parallel or sub parallel to the foliation. Assay results are pending for another 23 holes drilled around the Toussaint and Midrim showings.
